The VN7140ASTR is an STMicroelectronics VIPower™ single-channel smart high-side driver IC designed for automotive 12V load control applications. Featuring a built-in N-channel MOSFET high-side switch, up to 8A output capability, low 140mΩ on-state resistance, MultiSense™ analog current feedback, 3V/5V CMOS-compatible control input, and comprehensive protection functions including overcurrent limitation, thermal shutdown, undervoltage lockout, overvoltage clamp, short-circuit protection, and open-load detection, the VN7140ASTR provides a reliable power-management solution for automotive lighting, body control modules, ADAS sensor power supplies, motors, valves, solenoids, and intelligent vehicle power distribution systems.
